Dance Theatre Company is a requirement for Dance majors – but all ɫ dancers are welcome!  Dance in works by internationally renowned guest artists, faculty, and student choreographers – all while getting credit for your passion and training with your dance family!

This semester, we are excited to welcome back ɫ dance alum as our Alive! Arts Dance Artist in Residence!  Filmmaker will be working with Willis.  The two are co-founders of the LA-based dance and film company – known for work that “blends domestic and pedestrian behaviors with experimental dance…creating a movement language digestible to vast audiences through accessible platforms.”  Check out their impressive bios!

Three faculty – Michael Bolger,  Meryl "Mez" Gendreau, and Kathleen Nasti – will also be choreographing original work for Dance Theatre Company this semester.  A special welcome to Kathleen – who is teaching for us for the first time!  We are happy to have her expansive range of technical styles – as well as her expertise in Women’s Studies within the field of Dance!

Four student choreographers will also be choreographing this spring:  Sophia Mallico (Dance / Psych '25), Sydney Mello (Dance / Public Health '24), Maddie Huntington (Dance / Visual Arts '24), and Elish Flynn (Dance / Psych '24).  These fabulous up-and-coming artists will lead their own cast of peers in a semester-long creative process ending in a week of capstone performances.  We are very proud of our students!

Please join us for Dance Theatre Company in Concert May 2 – 5!
